Marsh Edge House

Marsh Edge House located on the North coast of Norfolk, nestled amongst the sand dunes within an area of outstanding natural beauty. Constructed out of Cross laminated timber (CLT), clad with coursed pebbles and finished with a beautiful zinc roof. Workplane worked closely with the Architects Cowper Griffith Architects LLP and the clients to deliver lighting that was complementary and integral to their design, allowing for specific lit effects on demand through the use of a lighting control system. Due to the nature of the construction traditionally used wall switches were not desired due to the positioning on or within the CLT, it was decided that a wireless lighting control system would need to be employed to minimise chasing walls and also to reduce the cabling requirements overall. Using the Casambi Technologies system we were able to deliver a lighting controls system with wire free, battery free wall switches which could be placed where desired. Additional control was enabled through Casambi Technologies mobile phone app, allowing the client total control over their lighting.
